Hear And Be

Now that we have come to the end of the week and of this week’s offering, please feed freely.

Have you ever really stopped to consider that although those two disciples did not even have a full twenty-four hours with Jesus, it was all fullness, completeness and unmeasured blessings? There was absolutely nothing of, mean and meagre, in our Lord’s pouring unto them and into them, the unsearchable riches of the Scriptures, the things concerning Himself.  Here is their unbarred and uninhibited Spirit-declared response, as they spoke to each other, when Jesus had vanished from their sight. Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us? Luke 24: 32b.

As has already been stated, earthly fathers, mothers and guardians, do not want their children eating too many m&m’s. This is their wise decision, as the massive sweet content of these treats, is altogether harmful and detrimental to their children’s physical health, growth and productivity. We have shown m&m – mean and meagre - with our Triune God and how He also does not desire m&m’s for us. This is our Lord’s wise decision, as the massive, sweet content of His Living Word, He, Himself being the Living Word, is never limited or measured. God never offers Himself to us in mean and meagre measures. To receive in mean and meager measures, is altogether harmful and detrimental to His children’s Spiritual health, growth and productivity.

Child of the Father, you have no excuse whatsoever for being a spiritually weak, sick, dry, lifeless, fruitless, cloud-covered disciple of Jesus.

Is your walk like those two disciples, purposeless, aimless, dragging and leading to no place of God-given mission? Be rescued! The living Lord, in full stature, comes in His Descended Spirit, as you journey, to walk with you. He has seen you and has come to you to bring you purposeful Gospel feet.

Is your talk like those two disciples, morose, uninformed, dead and totally not witnessing to God’s truth? Be redeemed! The Living Lord, in complete Descended Spirit, speaks to you. He will bring you all the wealth and riches of new life in Jesus.

Is your heart like the hearts of those two disciples, overtaken by grief, sadness, disappointment and utter, disastrous failure? Be risen! The Living Lord, without an ounce of meanness or meagerness, floods your cold heart with the burning joy of hope, excitement, sweetness and the unconquerable will to live and be a true, powerful witness to Jesus.

Give your entire all – all you have, all you are and all you ever hope to be – over to Jesus. Know, receive and boldly live the fact that God has given you in unmeasured quantities, the blessed riches and unspeakable treasure of the Gift of His Holy Spirit. Through the fullness of God the Son, God the Holy Spirit showers you with power of no mean and meager measures.  

It is your heavenly Father’s will, desire, joy and glory that you live a healthy, robust, fruit-bearing and witnessing life of His Son, through the Holy Spirit. Will you hear, or will you forbear? Hear and be!
