Heart Worship

We commence this offering by holding high, as a huge, bright and boldly printed standard, these words. True And Proper worship, is heart worship.
Like me, perhaps your mind has gone to words from the contemporary hymn, Heart of Worship, by M. Redman.
I'm coming back to the heart of worship,
And it's all about You, it’s all about You, Jesus,
I'm sorry, Lord for the thing I've made it,
When it's all about You, it's all about You Jesus.
If, in this moment, we utter those words, of the chorus, as printed above, then we ought to be fully aware of these truths. I offer you three distinct and sure facts, in which we are giving all praise and worship to God. Herein is true worship which pleases and blesses the Heart of Father God.
There is truth in worship. We are confessing to God that we have gone away and strayed away from true and proper worship. We are confessing that it is because of His forever seeking, convicting and convincing Holy Spirit, we can no longer engage in non-worship times. We are tired of noise without nourishment; sound without sense; prayers without power; worship without witness. We are confessing, Holy Lord, in this precious moment, that we have come back to the heart of worship. We are coming back to the heart of worship.
There is trust in worship. We are acknowledging that worship is all about our Triune God. Worship is all, everything about Jesus, who is God Incarnate, and God is Spirit. We are acknowledging faith and trust in the Holy Spirit, because He is the Spirit of Truth. It is precisely, because of our renewed faith and trust in God that we can no longer worship in the light and truth of this world’s ways. These lift us high for a spell and then we are thrown headlong in the reality of nothingness and vanity. We acknowledge that we no longer find delight in worship, with much human spirit, but no Heavenly Spirit; much natural works, but no supernatural works; worship without waiting. We are acknowledging, Holy Lord, in this precious moment, that worship is all about You.
There is Triumph in Worship. We are proclaiming that true worship is all about triumphing over all that is not of God. True worship pulls us out of all our known and unknown evils. True and Proper worship never allows any kind of deceit or falsehood, not even the tiniest amount, to find room and reside in worship. He who brings us to true worship and leads us in true worship, is Truth, and Truth and Lies cannot abide. Repentance is the first finger of worship, for without repentance, the hand of praise is shunned by God. When God sees our deep sorrow, for our turning away from true worship, when He sees how we have left all that once held us, and how we have thrown them all out, to return to Spirit and Truth, there is victory. We have triumphed over the deceiver, through God the Holy Spirit. What triumphant worship takes place in heaven, when we return to the Heart of Worship!
We too are given a little taste of heavenly, divine worship down here, when we are no longer held by human-engendered worship. We are proclaiming, in this precious moment, that worship is all about being triumphant in the Lord.
Here is a reminder of Paul’s admonishing and persuasive words of love and concern to all of us who are believers and servants of the Lord. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12: 1
We also believe that true and proper worship, is heart worship.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12: 28 - 29.
As we continue, we want to spend the remainder of this week, looking at the heart.
