Bound Or Loosed

We conclude our most lucrative time of going around old sites, familiar names and known places, with unshackled expectations, as our spiritual eyes, ears and responses have been and continue to be undimmed, unloosed and unharnessed. We yield to the Holy Spirit’s constraining power and say with un-defied assurance;
Blow Spirit, blow me wherever You will and how, for I know that You only lead to what is right, true, good and wholesome for me. You do that which is pleasing to Jesus and bring all glory to God. Thank You, O Holy Spirit. Amen!
Now, full of hope, joy and inexplicable peace, in the ways of the Spirit, we join those who are at the feet of Jesus, listening and learning, as He speaks on binding and loosing. Here are His words.
Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18.
Jesus is teaching His disciples a truth about an earth and heaven connection, which He knew they needed to understand. This understanding is also given to them when He taught them how to pray to God in heaven. In this taught prayer, Jesus gives them these words. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6: 10b. Often, and daily for some, you repeat these words, but do you know the power and life these words hold? Do you realise what you are praying? Do you know the direct communication you have with heaven? Listen to what you are affirming and adhering to, each time you repeat the Lord’s Prayer. You are saying that the will of God on earth mirrors the will of God in heaven. Whatever is the will of God in heaven, is exactly what it is on earth. How can this be?
How can the things on earth, among carnal, sinful children, be mirrored in heaven, the place of no sin and no carnal beings?
How can the place, where human beings need to be forgiven, replicate what is happening to spiritual beings who need no forgiveness?
How can earth, be so perfectly related to heaven?
This is so!
This is so because the Lord’s Name is the same in heaven and in earth.
This is so because God is Lord of heaven and earth.
This is so because the Lord guides and rules, both in heaven and in earth.
This is true because God is present in all the affairs of earthly beings and all the affairs of spiritual beings.
This being the case, understand these specifics.
Whatever you bind on earth, has already been bound in heaven.
Whatever you loose on earth, has already been loosed in heaven.
The word, whatever, does not stipulate or give privileges to anyone or anything. It has no boundaries and is limitless in its scope and reach. Be consciously aware that the word, whatever, includes you also, as it embraces whomever.
Prior to Jesus emphasizing this powerful and engaging word, He made it abundantly clear about forgiveness. He was explaining and giving meaning to laws which were handed down in the Scripture. He reminded them of the three-step procedure of the sin of a brother. Matthew 18: 15 – 18, records what Jesus has made clear and simple for all, in relation to a brother who has sinned against you. Brother here, means sister also. It also includes one who is a relative, friend, neighbour, co-worker or stranger.
Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Tomorrow, we embark upon the three-step procedure of the sin of a brother or sister.
