Return To Golgotha

Earlier, it was stated that we were in for a real mind-blower during this week, as God the Holy Ghost would teach us unmitigated truths about our Three In One God, in the most unfounded and unthinkable way. What is this unthinkable and unfounded way? What is this altogether unimaginable way to many, if not most human ways to thinking? Just follow, and before we close this day’s offering it would all come to light. Our expectation is that the glow will become brighter as the week progresses.
This is the scene that is taking place outside Jerusalem’s City Wall, at Golgotha, the place of the Skull. We are witnessing those four soldiers who, under orders, have just crucified Jesus. Have a piercing look at this old, but new, living scene, as it is used by God the Holy Spirit to teach us and steep us in sound, unarguable, living truth. Be it known, with undeniable certainty that there is no teaching like Holy Spirit teaching, because there is no Teacher like He is. Be it proclaimed, with unflinching boldness that Teacher Holy Spirit, does not just teach, but He has the unique and singular power to give learning – wisdom and understanding - to all who will receive Him. Be it salutary, deeply pleasing and absolutely calming in body, mind, soul and spirit that He is the Spirit of Truth, our Comforter and Enabler.
Here is the scene, being viewed with Pentecostal seeing and hearing, as the Holy Spirit enables us all.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece. They said therefore among themselves, Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be, that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots. Therefore the soldiers did these things. John 19: 23 – 24.
I have to confess that when I read this same account in the NIV, it is recorded that Jesus’ seamless garment for which the soldiers cast lots, was an under garment and not an over garment. This is what it states. When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. John 19: 23.
I really do not know which it is, whether it was an under or over garment, but this I do know, it was Jesus’ garment and it was one whole garment, a seamless garment. In it could be found not even one single seam of attachment, join, add-on or any such. It was one. Are you beginning to be stirred within? Is oneness taking any shape or form in Trinity understanding?
For the first time, I am being led to see things in this scene, human facts, which have made it live and rise in me, bringing real, life understanding. These are all so very simple and mundane, we are wont to take them as mere trifles and hold fast to only what we consider to be of importance and relevance.
Remember, as faith takes full charge, that we are looking at an actual historic event. The crucifixion of our Lord is not fiction, it is not a mirage. It is not some great, miraculous, supernatural plan of God to show Jesus, God the Son, crucified on the screen of life, as humans show in videos and in movies, but is not real. Anathema! God forbid! Jesus literally died. The Son of God, who came to earth clad in human clay, was literally crucified by soldiers. It is a historic fact, not a faith fact. Jesus was crucified by the soldiers of that day, whose job it was to crucify people, just as in later days, there were men whose job it was to hang people.
What’s the relevance of all this information? Keep following and it will all open up into the light of revelation glory, believing that our Lord’s Glory will shine upon us as with Moses. Remember how it was when Moses returned from Mount Sinai, having received tuition from God? The Glory of God was upon him and he did not even know. Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin on his face shone while he talked with Him. Exodus 34: 29.
O may the Light of God’s Glory shine and lighten us up in body, mind and spirit, as we receive from our Triune God.
