Seamless Garment Of Jesus

Listen again to the conversation that's taking place on Golgotha, among four Roman soldiers who have just ripped up all Jesus’ garments but one, the only seamless garment of His.

Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be, that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots. Therefore the soldiers did these things. John 19: 24.

This seamless garment was the inner garment of Jesus, and there must have been sacred, mysterious and untouchable power attached to it. We say this, not only because of Jesus’ profession about the power it contained when the sick woman touched its hem and was instantly healed, Jesus feeling the power going out of Him, but from prophecy.

There was prophetic power in that garment and it is convincingly shown in those who were non-Jews. They were not men who knew the Jewish prophecies and therefore were conscious of working and acting to fulfill them. No such thing! These were men who had no sentiments nor understanding of Jewish prophecy. Faith allows you and me to see the providential work and word of Father God in fulfilment, through the Holy Spirit, concerning the Son. I believe with all my heart that none, but the working Holy Spirit, softened the hearts of those four and gave them an understanding about the un-joined, seamless clothing of God the Son, to leave it as they found it and not even try to separate it.

Do we need more? What a revelation! What a teaching! What a telling! I know and feel Trinity in my body, mind, soul and spirit. How about you? From four soldiers, whose hands are soiled with the Blood of Jesus, have you not received Trinity in Oneness? Here are some of what I have been taught and what I confess in me. I know that you have been revealed the same and much more. I also know, in deed and in fact, through faithfully following on, even when we did not realize as Moses, the Light of God’s glory on us and in us, we wore and are wearing the Light of revelation glory, in Trinity.

Like the four soldiers, who held the seamless clothing of Jesus in their hands, we too hold the seamless clothing of God the Son. We hold His Oneness in our human hearts. Unlike the soldiers however, we are free from the Blood of Jesus through His pardoning, forgiving grace. We do not crucify the Son all over again for He lives in us.

Like the four soldiers, though unaware of all that God the Holy Spirit is doing in their lives, they fulfill prophecy, even in their unregenerate condition. However, we are aware of and most thankful for the works of God the Holy Spirit in our lives, saving us from trying to separate the Oneness, the seamless and joint-less clothing of Jesus. We do not separate Jesus from the Father, or the Holy Spirit. We see them as One and keep them as One.

Like the four soldiers, the reverence and respect given to this particular seamless garment worn by Jesus, must be replicated in us, in no less diminished, or condescending manner. All other outer garments or clothing worn by Jesus were torn, or ripped in pieces, but not His inner garment. It was seamless and could not be shared. All I know is that the Triune God lives in you and me through Jesus, God the Son, without joint or seam or add-on.

  • The Son is One with the Father and the Holy Spirit, for He is God. Seamless!
  • The Father is One with the Holy Spirit and the Son, for He is God. Seamless!
  • The Holy Spirit is One with the Father and the Son, for He is God. Seamless!

May we always remember those four Roman soldiers and never ever seek to separate Father, Son and Holy Spirit in any form or fashion. We worship One God, who lives and reigns and has His being in us.

One God Forever! Amen!
