Invisible Attribute Made Visible

We begin our receiving in the sure knowledge that in God’s Infallible Word, the Invisible God is made visible, by faith, to each accepting life. Yesterday, we heard when Paul reminded us that God’s invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power.
It is in His Eternal Power that we embark upon the ability of God, the Holy Spirit, to take us and move us from faith to faith. This is being done in practical, understandable and accessible ways through this single Bible text. Luke 2: 10. Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people.
In this one verse, riches are offered to all, free for the taking. You are being offered a seven-branched candelabra, holding brightly burning lights of the attributes of who our Triune God is to us. He who is Spirit, the Invisible God, through His ever-teaching and revealing, unseen Holy Spirit, shows how He delights in making Himself seen, heard, felt and known on earth, to all people. The very song of the angelic choir on the night of Jesus’ birth, belts out this truth as they brought God Incarnate to all. Glory to God in the highest. And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! Luke 2: 14.
The first light of the seven-branched candelabra, stands tall in the centre. It is the entire verse which holds what we, by faith, are receiving as the Trinity of Fact. Let’s follow on with ever growing faith.
Trinity of Fact - Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people.
The entire verse itself, peers over the other lit branches of the candelabra, as it were. This single verse holds convincing proofs of the Omnipotence, Omnipresence and Omniscience of our God, the Triune God. Indeed! In this single verse, we are being shown all of Personality, Immutability and Singularity of our Revealing God. Note this closely, as an unalterable and unchangeable fact. It was God the Father, who sent His heavenly angel to earth, to His people, His children, with Good Tidings of great joy. What was this Good News about? Yes! It was about God the Son being among them, Good Tidings brought to all people. But how will the people be able to receive such Good News in their lives? How can God’s truth be actualized in the lives of frail, mortal humans? This is only made possible through the enabling of God the Holy Spirit.
May the full attributes of our Triune God, the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity, be given full view in you and me.
Here is a simple visible image, but O how it strengthens and fattens faith. We know that our Bible verse has been taken from St. Luke’s Gospel, chapter two. Please note that the chapter is made up of fifty-two verses, yet God the Holy Spirit, He who is here to teach us all things, to lead us into all truth and bring the things of Jesus, God the Son, to our remembrance, is able to use just one verse, to bring so much uplifting, regenerating and strengthening to us. This is all to the pleasure and Glory of God the Father.
Believer, you may be looking at all that surrounds you and thinking that you are most deprived, handicapped, overshadowed and totally hidden in the overwhelming flow of worldly events. Let this fact about the joint working of our Triune God, sink deep into your heart and mind. Let it catapult you from your carnal feet, to stand on the spirit-given feet of our Lord. Let faith be sumptuously fed, nourished and moved forth, by this revealed Word. God will use you, one out of many to do His prescribed will.
Be an unalterable witness of this Trinity of Fact in your life, that indeed God, in Three Persons, our Unseen God, is visibly seen in you, in His might, to make the humanly impossible, possible.
