Hope And Victory

During the past two weeks, we have had the word, became, become alive to us, and in us. We conclude this time with the word, became, being lifted even higher than ever in our daily, spiritual walk, fully one in covenant with our Jesus, who became human and through whom we became one in Spirit with Him.

Today, we plunge way deeper into the Living Word, with no fear of drowning, but with faith to soar and mount higher and higher with the Holy Spirit, as He leads. We are being taken there through this Word. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1: 30. From this verse, we are brought to these four facts.

Jesus became for us, wisdom, sanctification, righteousness and redemption. Together, let us now share in a very different and unusual receiving, but none the less most simple and fruit bearing. God still takes the simple to teach and remind us of some profound Spiritual Truths.

Jesus became for us, wisdom. Why? That we might become wise.

Sovereign God took you from our father, the evil one of lies, whose very nature is deceit, and would not let you go back home to such sin and evil. God gave you to Jesus. Believe the Word, for does not Jesus repeat this truth in many ways throughout His most fervent prayer to Father God, as He is about to face the cross? I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. John 17: 9. Clearly Jesus sees His disciples, you included, as God’s own heart-love, the apple of His eye, whom He has given or brought to Jesus. Yes! Jesus became for us wisdom, so that you might become wise and stay with Jesus and keep covenant with Him.

Jesus became for us, sanctification. Why? That we might become sanctified.

Has not Jesus made you one with Him in Spirit? Didn’t He pray to the Father to keep you one with Him as He and God are one? Hasn’t Jesus openly stated that, As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love? John 15: 9. To remain in Jesus’ Love, is to remain in covenant relationship with Him. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17: 17. Jesus has just acknowledged to His Heavenly Father that His Truth sanctifies His disciples. But is not Jesus, the Truth, God’s Living Word, made flesh for you?

Truly!  Jesus became for us, sanctification, that you might become sanctified in and through Him.

Jesus became for us, righteousness. Why? That we might become righteous.

Is not your testimony that Jesus took the clothes He was wearing, His garment of righteousness and placed it on you? He did this so that you could take off your worn garment of unrighteousness, of sin, of guilt and of shame, in order to wear His worn garment. In the covenant of Love which Jesus has made with you, don’t you realize that you and all who have given themselves to Jesus, are His ambassadors, representing Him wherever you are and in whatever state you find yourself? Listen well, to what Paul says to believers. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5: 20 - 21

Assuredly! Jesus became for us righteousness, so that you might become righteous and stay with Him, in covenant love.

Jesus became for us, redemption. Why? That we might be redeemed.

The Love of Jesus is beyond reproach, beyond fault and beyond any sin of His human creation. Jesus, God Incarnate became human so that He could redeem us. To whom does the pronoun, us refer? Whom has the Blood of Jesus redeemed? Too many believe that Jesus’ Blood only has efficacy on some and not on others. How wrong is this, and how utterly dangerous and misleading, as well. O how we all quote these verses with pride and a sense of holy righteousness, while we are void of its meaning. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  John 3: 16 – 17. Jesus has died to redeem the world. Therefore, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence. Ephesians 1: 7 – 8.

Most assuredly! Jesus became for us, redemption, that you might be redeemed, through His precious Blood.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1: 30.
