Changeover Pronouncement

Our business today, comes with two parts. First and foremost we are continuing to acknowledge and keep unmovably firm and stabilized in our working minds that God is Lord, Supreme, Sovereign, High over all. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours, Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29: 11 – 12.

On the other side, we look at what this very God has given to us human beings, His dear and favoured creation. In the Chronicles verses we are openly, plainly and firmly reminded that God, who has bestowed His will upon us, does not only have the authority and right to do so, but He is capable of more. This same Creator and Sovereign, holds all the power and might in His hands and in His hands is the power to make His people great and give us strength to be the creation He has called us to be.

Have you noted that Creator God did not make you in His image and likeness, in terms of some things but in terms of all things? For example, He has made us to love Him, as He loves us. Did not Jesus say this? A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. John 13: 34. We love after Him, for He is the One Supreme and Preeminent in love. God has also made us in His Sovereign work. What do I mean? We know that He has dominion over all things, for all things are His, but here is this illuminating, explosive and most surprising fact about you, which the deceiver has strategically, and craftily been blocking from you. God has made you to have dominion as He does. We must be very personal here, so that none of us is tempted to cower away, shy away or hide away under the cover of, others.

O yes, you and I know the Scripture and I shall quote it again for us. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Genesis 1:  28. Hear it loudly and clearly! God never just blessed Adam and Eve, and bestowed on them dominion, but this word of pronouncement is for us also. It is for you.

Many are like me, I’m sure, who have never really taken unto ourselves what Creator, Father God has pronounced upon our lives. Even before we were born, this pronouncement of God’s Word awaited our coming. This pronouncement is not for when we grow up, to be made real and true in us and to us, but it is so while we are yet new-born babes in the faith. Let’s reason together for a bit. The king is expecting a child to be born to him. Even before the child is born, because he is king, and only because of who he is, he is thinking, speaking, and acting as one who has a prince or princess to be born. He does not wait until the child is born and he sees it, to speak about his heir. Much more Sovereign God and you. Think about it.

Additionally, everything that has been already air-marked for his child, all the power and authority, dominion and might that is for his child, because of him, is there even when the child is now born. Listen to this one! Even before that new-born knows itself, its name or status, people address that little person as prince or princess. Need I say more? We beg, Holy Spirit, help us to know that we are under a pronouncement which the deceiver has completely changed around. May He bring us back to who we truly are in the scheme of things. God, whose Word is immutable, has stated that you have dominion over His creation and we live cowering under His creation in so many ways.  From this particular text, God blessed His human creation, then after the blessing, came the pronouncement.

His pronouncement is fourfold: -

1.    Be fruitful and multiply

2.    Fill the earth

3.    Subdue the earth

4.    Have dominion over every living thing.

Believers, this is not of you or me, not of prophet or priest, not of angels or archangels. This is of Creator God and who can say nay to what He has already pronounced upon every single one of us?

Just by looking at those four pronouncements alone, many of us know that we need to have a thorough changeover in our minds, in relation to how we live as people of God’s endowing.

Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

We will follow on with this tomorrow.
