A Timely Word About God

So far have you been seeing and tracking the working Hand of God, the timely working hand of the Lord, in His servant’s life? Are you not being lifted in renewed faith and trust, in the trustworthiness, timeliness and truthfulness of the Lord, through His ever present Holy Spirit?

Here are some things which were revealed to me, which totally broke me down to ask pardon of our Lord God. May the same be your response also, as you are pricked to the heart, by truth about the God whom you love and serve. He is the God who left heaven and came to earth in human clay, in His beloved Son, Jesus, to save us from the wages of sin. He is the God, who has now come to dwell with us in His Holy Spirit, so that we have God with us.

Now look at how the working of God, the Holy Ghost is not confined to: -

Believers only – The Roman centurion certainly was not a believer and most likely did not care too much for the Jewish prisoner Paul. Yet, when Paul called him and asked him to take his nephew to the commander to tell him something, that centurion complied. Is that not the Holy Spirit, working out His plan to keep His servant alive, through a Roman centurion? What about the commander? He too was no believer, nonetheless, faith allows us to believe that the Holy Spirit was directing his every move in this conspiracy drama, to take Paul’s life. It is true! The Holy Spirit works with whomsoever He wishes, for He is Lord.

Adults only – That young boy took on a huge responsibility. Young boys were known to be pranksters, yet the commander listened attentively to all that Paul’s nephew had to say, believing every word of his. That for me is huge, for all I see is the presence of the directing Holy Spirit, in the life of the young boy and the commander. When God goes all out, does He go all out! The boy is now being guided by this figure of high authority and goes where he takes him and does what he tells him. Look at this touching, tender scene. The young boy is in a place with all those soldiers and weapons and what we see is the commander, like a father, holding the boy’s hand and drawing him aside. The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside and asked him, What is it you want to tell me? Acts 23: 19.  If these actions have not been Holy Ghost directed, then nothing is. It is true! The Holy Spirit works with whichever age group He wishes, for He is Lord.

Sacred Places Only – If by faith, you really can see the working of the Holy Ghost, then you will have to admit, as with people, so with places. The Sanhedrin’s meeting place is holy, meaning that it is a place of God. By comparison, the Roman barracks will not be considered a holy place, a place of God. Yet, it is in the barracks, this ungodly place, we see the powerful and timely working of the Holy Ghost, in keeping others from taking the life of His apostle, Paul. 

This just was not the time for Paul to die, and he knew it. He knew, because God had told him of missions which he had to work for the Lord.  It was not the time set by God for him and the Holy Ghost took full charge as He directed, controlled and managed every single good and evil meted out for and against Paul. He proves His Word and keeps Paul alive to do as He said. This brings to mind Jesus, does it not?

 We are told of the time when Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life. John 7: 1b. However, when the Jewish feast of Tabernacles was drawing near, Jesus’ brothers, who did not believe in Him, made some sarcastic remarks, telling Him to go to the feast and publicize Himself. Jesus’ reply had to do with the timeliness of the Father’s Word and Will for His life. He told them these words. You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to the Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come. John 7: 8. There was to be no untimely death for Jesus and He did not do anything to make it untimely. The same is seen with Paul. It was not the time for his death and the Holy Ghost saw to it that Paul’s life was saved.

Are you a child of God? Do you believe and know that God has your life in His Hands? Does He have work for you to still do? Has He set your times and seasons? Then live in the full assurance of His Word and fear no person’s evils.

No one and nothing will take you down if God has not declared it.
