We Come

On this Lord’s Day Sunday, our hearts are opened to our heavenly Father, who is right, just and merciful. We come with ever grateful lives and seek our Lord’s pardoning grace.

Today, at the beginning of a brand new week, we halt to receive truth and seek our pardoning God’s forgiveness and help.

We come before our heavenly Father God, who always makes the first steps in bringing His children back to Him. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5: 32. We are the ones who have sinned and done wrong against our Heavenly Father. We have erred and strayed like helplessly lost sheep and in His love and mercy, He seeks us, finds us and calls us to repent.

We come to our Triune God, who is Righteous and Just and does not tolerate what is unrighteous and unjust. Listen to what Father God says, through His prophet, about His rebellious children. Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth! For the LORD has spoken; I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand. Isaiah 1: 2 – 3. Is this what our Heavenly Father is saying about us also? He is a Righteous Father and He will not delight in unrighteous children.

We come before our Creator God, who made all things good, in His sight and never delights in what is corrupt and dirty. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1: 31KJV. Has not God made us, His creation, and did He not make us very good also? However, we sinned and messed up big time and became all corrupt.  God was not at all pleased and still is not pleased when we continue in our corruption.

We come before our Saviour God, whose grace and mercy call and save the sinner. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1: 15 KJV. Regardless of your sins, whether you are a blasphemer, a cheat, a fraud, a liar, a selfish, greedy person, or whatever have you, the grace of our Lord is abundant and free to save all who repent and surrender to Him.

We come before our Lord and God, who is Almighty and who knows and sees all things and works all things right. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; and were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak. Mark 7: 36 – 37 KJV. Our Lord still heals the blind, deaf and dumb, and all He does is well done. We are called to remember.

Tomorrow, I shall share with you an experience which totally left me with no choice but to see myself and fall before our Lord in fear, seeking help and pardon.

Our Father in heaven, You know all things. You know all of Your children who need to have our eyes opened, to see just who we are before You and in pure obedience, receive Your freeing pardon and grace. Amen!
