I Pray With Joy

On this final day of the week, I have been led to bring you the conclusion to our week of sharing, learning, receiving and knowing more about, praying with joy, in the form of a poem.

Our meditations for the entire week have been based on Paul’s mind, attitude and boldness in prayer, for the believers in Philippi. This Body of Believers, this Church, has been given birth by Paul’s preaching, teaching, admonition and example. He is no longer physically with them, but he is always with them in the unity of the Holy Spirit, thanking God for them all, in every remembrance of them. 

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1: 4 - 5.

You and I also pray for each other, believers, partners in the service of our Lord, brothers and sisters in Christ, because of our common journeying together, our offering together and our yielding together, in our One Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.

This is a personal declaration, before our Lord.

I pray with joy for you my sister,

As together we serve one Master,

And for each single brother as well,

In partnership, the Gospel to tell,

I always pray with joy, not sadness,

For your commitment and steadfastness,

Your giving of your lives to Jesus,

Our Lord gracious and most generous;

I joy in partnership together,

Thanks Lord, for each sister and brother. 

 

In all my prayers that I pray for you,

I pray with joy for all that you do,

You’ve not grown weary, nor have you waned,

From the onset till now, you’ve remained,

In God’s service, faithful and zealous,

Always willing and desirous,

To serve in the Gospel of our Lord,

In harmony and in one accord;

I pray for each of you as partner,

I pray in Christ who is our Owner.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1: 3 - 6.
