God's Securing Love

We are following the Hebrew children, God’s treasured people, reeds, who are lost, weak and weary, and are in desperate need of God’s help. The first thing we must note is that although the children of Father God are not living the promises of God, although they are in bondage, unable to help themselves, they know some things.
What do they know?
They know who they are. They are children of the One, True God.
They know that their present lives are not what their God wishes for them.
They know that they are reeds, unable to help themselves or each other.
They know that although they are in slavery, they are not lost to their Father God.
They know that even in their place of imprisonment, their place of bondage, they can pray to their God and Father.
They know that they are praying, in the faith of their fathers, to a God who is all hearing, assured that He will hear them too, as He heard their forefathers.
They know that honest, fervent prayer is never turned down by Father God, so they are constant in prayer for salvation.
Will we learn from our ancient family and know that when we too are lost, regardless of what or where our lost-ness is, that our faith and trust in Father God comfort and assure us that God will hear and help us?
Holy God, grant us the grace to believe and receive. Amen!
Our focus is now turned to Father God and His response to His praying children. Let me repeat the verse which was quoted a few days ago, which brings God even nearer to us, not just as God, but as our caring, heavenly Father, God.
Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant. Therefore, say to the Israelites: I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. Exodus 6: 5 – 7.
He is still the same God, I can assure you, and as our Father, He will hear every single one of His children, crying out to Him for salvation from an oppressor.
I am the LORD
I will bring you out from under the yoke of sin.
I will free you from being slaves to sin.
I will redeem you with an outstretched hand and with mighty acts of judgment.
I will take you as My own.
I will be your God then you will know that I am the LORD your God.
I will bring you to the place of promise.
I will give it to you as a possession.
I am the LORD.
There we have it, our Lord’s promise, brought to us again so that we are forever reminded of who our God is, and forever being brought back to who we are in Him. We are travelling with One who has stated that His purpose for coming among us, is to seek and save the lost. Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, is the Person who seeks for the lost. Many a person, believer as well as non-believer, is lost, drowning in the deep wells of grief and sorrow. Many are lost, held fast with the merciless chains of worry. Many are lost in the rotting aroma of self – self-piety, haughtiness, arrogance, timidity, uncertainty and pride – all which keep us from salvation. Jesus, Lord and Saviour, has come to save us all, and all that it needs is for us to believe in Him. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household. Acts 16: 31.
