Word Of Empowerment - Part 2

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. Hebrews 12: 3.
Doesn’t this do wonders for you, child of God, when you see how even Jesus, your Brother in God, and Your Saviour, Master and Redeemer, endured great hostility from those whom He came to save? Indeed, this is knowledge which brings calm and peace to us in our lowest moments, for He who is with us, He who is our empowerment, is He who endured to the end.
Children of the Father, this same Jesus, is not just our pattern and example, in dead truth, but in working, active, living truth. What do I mean? It’s like this. The motivational speaker is telling new recruits to the Fire Service, of past men and women who excelled in the service. Names are called and examples of endurance, bravery and selflessness are held high. It will remain as a great speech, which will linger in minds for a time.
However, if at least three of the exemplars mentioned by the motivational speaker were in that room, it would make a huge difference. Even more compelling, would be if those three present examples, pledged to be of practical help and service to those who needed them. What empowerment will be given to those young recruits! They would have received, not just an example in word, but they would have received physical, practical help to empower them and keep them going.
Jesus, who is Spirit, does the same for us all who will accept His empowering. We all, who are legitimate sons and daughters of God, our heavenly Father, all who will endure His chastening, do so because we look to our Brother Jesus, as our Example and the One who Empowers us to endure.
May the Holy Spirit help us always to look to Jesus for all the help, encouragement, strength and humility we need, to know that we are still the loved children of God, Father in heaven.
Be empowered, child of God! Rejoice and be thankful in heart, mind, soul and strength, that you have a Father in heaven, who has given you His One and Only Begotten Son. Be strengthened and encouraged, knowing that you have a Brother called Jesus, who, in spite of all His suffering and pain, never ever changed His Name. Look to Him in your moment of trial, as you are being disciplined by His Father and yours, and know that He is willing and able to give you all that you need to endure our Father’s chastening, to the end.
Doesn’t this Word bring peace, hope, assurance and strength to your needy soul?
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so much, as to keep disciplining me, to make me the child You want me to be. Amen!
