The Promise Continues

Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.

We have already viewed some of the promise, which is most huge and bountiful. Now we are even hungrier, to continue in faith and trust, to receive.

They will gather in grain – It means that not just the grains are available for eating and feeding livestock, but additionally, there are the by-products of grain. There will be lots of breads, cakes, biscuits, and suchlike. There will also be the pistachios, nuts, almonds and others, which fall under the category of grains.

They will gather in new wine – It means that fruit such as grapes, figs, pomegranates and other winemaking fruit will be in abundance. There will not only be fresh fruit, but dried and preserved fruit for making delicious dishes.

They will gather in oil – It means that olives, palms, and other oil-making plants and fruits will have no lack. Cooking oils, healing oils, anointing oils and oils for many other purposes will be readily available.

These beautiful, readily available and accessible truths were shown to me, and when I looked with informed eyes, as the Holy Spirit enabled, I saw a people who did not want. How could they, when Father God provided for them, all that they needed. I heard David and clearly understood how he could honestly say that the Lord is his Shepherd and he shall not want. I heard myself praying the prayer taught by Jesus; Give us this day our daily bread, and I came to the unmitigated reality that I will know no want, as long as I receive daily bread from Father God.

Then I was fed this glorious, faith-soaring word.
