The Cure

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

This is for all who are becoming weary, afraid, tired, resigned or plain unable to continue anymore in faith and trust, where the curse of sin is concerned. It is to all who are being slapped daily with the powerful, unending evils of sin, front, back and centre.

The living fact is that what is being born daily in their lives, are the things for which they have never prayed, asked for, or desired. Are you such a person at the moment? You want to believe the Lord, but the evidence all speak and shout against it.

What you see, without fail, are the fruit of sin, the perfect evidence and proof of sin. These have so taken over and hold such unbending prominence, you are unable to see God’s abundant provision of grace for you and His gift of righteousness ruling in you, through Jesus.

There is never a free moment, for it seems that as soon as one thing hits you, before you sometimes are able to process it, something else is placed on your already full plate. You feel the weight of sin and you are convinced that you are under a never ending curse. No matter what anyone says, you are sure that for you, you are stuck under a curse and no one can help you. You can prove it, you defiantly say, with testimonies, not from the past only but from the present. The fruit of sin cannot be hidden as all can see what you are saying.

How do you, how can you, receive the news that Jesus has taken your curse and become your sure cure? Have a look at the two words CURSE and CURE.

The reality is that if you remove the S from the curse the cure stands there in fullness for you. What is the, ‘s’? Yes, it is sin and Jesus has taken your sin, all your sin, so that no sin has power to rule you. What is happening is like this.

You have been in prison for life, without hope of any parole even. You have committed the sin and the wages of your sin is your death, a life in a dark, cold cell. One day, a person comes and tells the law that you are to be free of your curse, because that person will exchange places with you. The person takes all the crimes you have committed and comes into your cold dark prison. You are free to go, free to leave and live a new, saved life. A cure was given and accepted for your curse.

However, when you began to live this new life, you realized that sin never died. Sin continued to plague you, trying to get you to deny God’s abundant provision of grace given to you. The enemy tries his best to get you to forfeit the gift of righteousness as reigning in your life. Sin has no more dominion over you, so the evil one uses tactics and schemes to get you, the believer, to bend and break, thus turning your face against the One and single cure - Jesus.

God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! Romans 5: 17b.

It is this assurance, this freedom, this cure, this hope of salvation, in which we were saved, we await our future glory. With this inimitable Grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; this invincible Love of God the Father; this impenetrable fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
