On this final day of a week spent receiving greater revelations on blood, which was seen by the LORD on the doorframes of the homes of God’s people, I’m sure that we all have been casting strong focus on the Blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, has unmitigated power to save us from the wrath of Sovereign Father God, wrath, which is our guaranteed death.
It is with great significance therefore, significance in all that we have been receiving about the blood on the frames of the doors of the houses of the children of God that we face the unarguable reality of the Shed Blood of the Lamb of God, Father God’s own chosen Sacrifice.
Many, like me, have come with thoughts and images lingering, some heavily and some rather joyously. Let me tell you what had and still has me totally in fear of the Lord. It is the fear of which Psalmist David speaks when he writes these life-binding words. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. Psalm 19: 9a. Whatever you understand and take, pure fear to be and mean, all I know is this. Although I do not understand about fear being pure, I know that He has placed His pure fear in me, forever lasting fear, through this one purifying, cleansing, preserving Word. It is the infallible Word which He has placed before my spiritual sight. It is the heard and seen Word that tells you and me this fact. The Blood of Jesus is the single and only decider for the LORD. Jesus’ Blood gives LIFE to all who are under His Blood and gives DEATH to all whose lives are not under His Blood. We now view some indisputable facts about this truth, as recorded in these texts from God’s flawless Word.
Jesus Himself has told us this most quickening fact about His Blood, which brings the fear of the LORD – pure and lasting – to all who by faith will receive. For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26: 28. It is unmistakably clear that Jesus has told us all that His Blood was shed for the remission of our sins. If anyone refuses His Blood, how then do such a one expect to be saved?
Paul, the servant of the Lord, knows in his saved life, about the Power, Promise and Preservation of the Blood of Jesus. Therefore he is right and true when he tells us without hesitation, speaking with his lips and life, this undeniable fact, which he pens in Ephesians 1: 7. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. I ask you therefore, what is the fate of those of us who refuse Jesus, living disobedient lives and forfeiting all His grace?
O may pure unending fear of God be with us forever. Amen!
John, in this victory speech, I call it, of all God’s saints who have overcome the accuser of our brothers, says it plainly. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12: 11. Are we not again told and reminded that no one will overcome the accuser without the Blood of Jesus?
When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down. Exodus 12: 23
The Blood of Jesus on the top and sides of Jesus the Door, guarantees death to all who are outside Jesus and guarantees life to all who are in Jesus.
