Saturday After Ash Wednesday

On this final day of our first days after Ash Wednesday, there is great rejoicing as our hearts and minds cling to the promises of our ever faithful and ever true Lord.
Having made these four steps on our journey of forty days and forty nights with Jesus, let’s now continue in greater confidence, because we are holding specific promises of God.
As we have been reminded by Peter, it is through knowing Jesus, who has called us by His glory and virtue, that we have exceedingly great and precious promises. Only through faith in these promises can we be partakers of all that has been promised us and made true in us by the Holy Spirit.
It is with the Holy Spirit that every promise will be made flesh in us.
It is through the Holy Spirit that we will receive and live the things of Jesus, so that God will be satisfied.
It is in the Holy Spirit that we will do all that God requires us to do.
It is by the Holy Spirit that we will know victory, even before we begin.
We must not get too carried away though, with just the hearing of these most binding and holding promises. If our hearing is not accompanied by our heeding, through faith, then we will be recipients to none of what has been offered to us. This is serious and certain, for as was indicated in the preparation time at the beginning of the week, without faith, not a promise will be made possible to us, for we shall certainly not be pleasing God.
Having accepted our Lord’s invitation to make this journey, we must forever be conscious that we are His visible, earthly vehicles, travelling in open, visible form for all to see. Remember what we have already discussed about the road worthy vehicle and its wheels and tyres. As God’s vehicles on this forty days and forty nights travel, let us keep asking God for faith that knows: -
Unassisted belief, without human assistance, so that His promises will be of abiding use to us. Faith works only with true, genuine belief.
Unpretentious trust, without human support, so that His promises will be of anchoring use to us. Faith works only with true, unpretentious trust.
Unsolicited hope, minus any interjections, so that His promises will be of procuring use to us. Faith works only with pure, unsolicited hope.
Undiluted love, void of any adulterations, so that His promises will most assuredly be proven in us. Faith works only with undefiled, undiluted love.
Having the picture, persuasion, practicality and produce of our Lord’s promises, drawn upon our hearts and minds, and etched over our entire being, we have been prompted to look specifically, during this Lenten Travel and to be brought face to face with not just our Lord’s promises, but our Lord’s Blood Promises, which we will receive through God the Holy Spirit.
Praise to You Jesus for Your Blood Promises
.
