As we come together on this Lord’s Day Sunday, commencing a new week, the last full week of October days, we are thankful. We are deeply grateful and give thanks and praise for the opportunity to receive refreshment, renewal and re-energising of our faith in Father God, as we go through this path called life. Indeed, we are all being offered the privilege of free refreshing as we walk on in life. Along the route of today and this entire week, you are going to meet Prayer Posts. What are Prayer Posts? Why Prayer Posts?

For a moment, I want you to think of a charity walk or run, for example. Have you been in one recently? Have you been on the streets, while one is in progress? Recently, I witnessed one of the many charity walks and races which take place yearly in our country. One of the things which our Lord used to teach me unarguable truth, was the water posts along the paths of the participants. This was made really big on my mind and heart, and it has not just left an indelible mark on me, but it has totally and truly changed my mind, my thinking about prayer and me. Let me raise but a few to you.

Wherever you are, regardless of how high or low your mind is where prayer is concerned, you will be taken higher. Faith is not fake and faith never fails. Do you earnestly believe this? If you do then begin to give God thanks for all that He has already worked out for you and is working out for you, even now.

Let me divert a bit to say that even though we may not understand all that’s happening to us where prayer is concerned, though we see it in vision-like lenses, keep following the Holy Spirit in prayer. Let me remind you of what was recorded in Acts 12: 9 about Peter. Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. Have you ever thought deeply about what you have been told or described? Peter is following God’s angel, yet he is not even aware or conscious of what exactly is going on with his life. Peter does not understand it all but in his limited human capacity, his not knowing what God is doing with his life, his inability to see what God is doing, do not in any way hinder him from following God’s in His sent angel.

Like Peter, you may be dulled or hazy in mind about what’s taking place with you, but like him, keep following the Holy Spirit.

Follow Him, Holy Spirit, whate’er it may be,
Follow Him, even though the way you do not see,
Let your faith keep you firm in Him, He knows prayer’s way,
Obey, do whatever you hear Him in you pray.

I have all confidence that as you journey through this week, walking, running, limping or even shuffling on your feet of faith, you will find Spiritual refreshing and energising, through God the Spirit, to the glory of God the Father, in God the Son.

Faithful Father, as You bring me to these Prayer Posts, even though I can only view them with vision-like sight, keep me following and receiving please. Amen!
