Praise; On Trinity Sunday
On this Lord’s Day Sunday, let us lift our voices in song, as we give God thanks and praise for who He is. He is our Triune God and whether we accept Him as our Three in One God or not, makes no difference to who He is. However, it does make a life-altering difference to who you are.
We speak of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, but do we know Him in our daily living? What we are being asked really, is whether or not we know the Three Persons of God in our very being.
Here is a simple example, but one that is needed to assist many of us who are being targeted and bombarded by those who call us multiple God worshippers and thus seal us as pagans. We are to give thanks for such labels as, our lives continue to bear and produce fruit which show that as we are one man or one woman, so too the God we worship is One God. Just as you carry different titles, or names, so too does God.
You are the owner of a huge establishment, which you also direct, control and rule. As the owner, you are called the father of the foundation. However, you have humbled yourself and gone to work in it as a servant, a worker. You take on the personality of a son and work obediently according to what has been mandated by you yourself, as father. This is what I mean. Recently, I was invited to have dinner at a hotel and there I was introduced to the owner. While we were dining, I saw him greeting guests, chatting with them and being most present in all that was taking place. I was very impressed as I saw him even serving guests from time to time, following the same protocols as his workers. What am I saying? I am saying that he was doing the work of a servant, following rules and protocols as all other servants. I tell you, I saw one man in two distinct roles, all in one experience.
God is Father, but He also comes to us as Servant Son.
On that same evening at the hotel, one of the people from the party to which I belonged, needed to have something specially done and she went directly to the owner who was serving a table at the time. She waited in the corner, the side-wings if you like, not obstructing anyone. She approached him and he was most understanding and accommodating. I was even more impressed when he dealt with her request himself and she was given what she asked for. What I am saying is that I saw him do a special work for her. This action actually reminded me of the Holy Ghost and His work of comforting, enabling, counselling us and more.
God is Father, but He also comes to us as Holy Spirit.
This is but a very simple, earthly truth which many of us have experienced from time to time. Nonetheless, it is what our Triune God has used to help us live in Him as One God, in the Person of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, present in our lives.
Do not let anyone deceive you or make you keep wondering about your Three in One God. Just live His Three Persons in you, as one human being and put all their deceiving lies to naught.
For this entire week, which I have designated as Trinity Week, we have been invited to lift our voices in song, as we look specifically at hymns handpicked for us. In this, we will be showing and telling about our Three in One God, to whom our lives bear testimony.
