Pentecost Powers Are On

When I realised that today was the first of a new month, I smiled and said, O dear, today is a new beginning, not an ending! I know that we are at the end of a full week, but I am being moved, with un-resistible nudges and urges to keep on seeking and reaping in this ripe and plentiful harvest field.
Therefore, as we keep following, we are not closing any books, as it were, but opening new chapters on what we already know. We will not hear and do like some of the listeners at Pentecost, whose response was not of the Holy Spirit. We are reminded of the response of some hearers who witnessed a sign which accompanied the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, on the disciples of Jesus. Here is this very well-known verse. Some, however, made fun of them and said, They have had too much wine. Acts 2: 13. If we believe all that has been told us about the enabling power of God, the Holy Spirit, causing the disciples of God, the Son, to speak in tongues, then these mockers are hearing about the wonders of God, the Father, in their own native tongues.
We now go to Mark, in Chapter 16: 17 – 18, which lists signs Jesus has specified, as accompanying all who believe. Be not deceived in the least. Jesus never said that these signs pertained to His Eleven only. He never said that it was exclusively for those who had been endued with special gifts. No! Jesus said that it was for anyone who believed. Please know that these signs are for all who believe, which includes you and me.
Here are the signs listed for easier and more striking read.
In My Name they will drive out demons.
In My Name they will speak in new tongues.
In My Name they will pick up snakes with their hands.
In My Name they will not be at all hurt, when they drink deadly poison.
In My Name they will place their hands on the sick and they will get well.
Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16: 20.
I ask you, is this not true that this refers to their, after Baptism Responses? Remember, Pentecost is the Baptism of Jesus, the Risen, Ascended and Indwelling Lord. Pentecost is the Descending of the Spirit of the Lord, to make believers one with Him in power, to be His witnesses. Jesus baptized and still baptizes believers with His Holy Spirit, so that they will, working in His Name, know His accompanying signs, which confirm His Word. It’s all about the Indwelling Spirit in the believer.
If we believe, this is what Jesus says will happen. Have we proof of them all, each being made flesh, right there at Pentecost? Be fully conscious though, that along with these revelations, comes the Living Presence of the Trinity.
The truth is that like many believers, I have read these listed signs, but never bothered to pay much attention to them or given any deep thought and mind to them. This is because I have been deceived into fixing my eyes and mind on one specific sign, making the others of less value. I have held one sign as a deity, making an idol of it, and have worshipped it without fail.
