Honour Fathers

In thinking about fathers, we are being taught and trained to take our eyes off the person who is or was our biological father and place them on Father, Creator God. Listen to this simple verse, yet abounding in God’s irreversibly sacred plan.
For fathers we thank You,
God who made it so to be,
Without our fathers,
We won’t Your greatness see.
We are thanking God for fathers, all fathers; not some, but all fathers, because God has designed and made it to be that every offspring can only come about because of a man’s seed. In other words, if you do not have a man and what God specifically has placed in men to produce offspring, then no children will be born. It is God’s sacred, wonderful, miraculous works, which have brought you and me to the place where we are.
Additionally, have you ever stopped to seriously think of this claim, as made in these lines?
Without our fathers,
We won’t Your greatness see.
If we are bold and brave to speak such words to Father God, then are we not confessing a number of things to Him? If it were not for our earthly fathers, we could never be afforded the pure joy and unprecedented beauty there is in knowing God. We all can know God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son. So we are really confessing these facts to God.
The first wonder and marvel we acknowledge, is that God has given fathers a role that is sacred and not to be diminished or dismissed in any way. We are to acknowledge God’s works, not man’s ways.
Another wonder and sacred favour is that we are able to see this greatness of God. Note carefully! You may have a father whom you’ve never seen or heard, but that misfortune, does not negate the fact that you are able to see and know the greatness of His plan, in you. You, not your father, are the evidence, the convincing proof that God’s plan works.
Yet, a further and even more heavenly and spiritual treasure is that you who have been brought into this world by flesh and blood, as it were, are able to be made children of Father God. That is, you can be given birth in Spirit and in Truth. In this manner, you have been given the stupendous pleasure and grace of calling God Father. What a wonderfully great God we serve. You are able to call Him Abba, Father, because of your first father.
Think of it.
