Holy Spirit In Us

On this last day of the week of our travels, we are ready to face Holy Week, the climax of our special journeying with our Holy Spirit.
However, before we are ushered into Holy Week, we sit awhile to ponder and pray. We ponder again, the divinely Spiritual Works, which the Holy Spirit has wrought in flesh and which, by faith, we also believe, He still does today in us, through Jesus.
Indeed, every single one of us who will; Leave all our own ways; Empty ourselves of all self; Nullify all the desires of the carnal will; Turn from all the ways and words of the world, cannot but receive all that our given Holy Spirit is waiting to bountifully shower upon us.
Earlier, we were made to feast and fix our ever enlightening eyes on the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus, the Man. We were given privilege to gather a glimpse of the overpowering Holy Spirit, in the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is through Him, the Blood Works of Jesus were completely and satisfactorily wrought, in the eyes and heart of Father God. Indeed! It was finished and God was well pleased with His Son. As we look at the Spirit’s Work, then and now, we are reminded that His Work continues and we are all sharers in the precious, miraculous and free gift of the Blood, shed for all humankind.
What then does the Holy Spirit do for us, in relation to the shed Blood of Jesus? At this landmark point, though we are together as one crowd, travelling as one, as we sit awhile to ponder, we are on our own, in terms of response to the work of God, the Holy Spirit.
This is the Word brought before us. If Jesus is the Word made flesh, if He is indeed the Living Word, then does this Living Word find full acceptance in us? Does it not only just resonate with us, but fully reside in us? Receive again what Romans 8: 11 pronounces, and announces about the Ever Almighty Work of the Holy Spirit, to overshadow, overcome and overpower in your life.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Perhaps this verse is one that is well-known to you, or perhaps it is not. Whichever it may be, hear it again, as brought to you in the explosive light of wisdom and truth. It is the explosive works for some, and the implosive works for others, of God’s Word, which is Jesus, the Stone, which many rejected. However, it has become the cornerstone, and this is all the Lord’s doing.
Understand this fully, as we have for the past weeks been made clear on. No person who is outside of the Blood-marked house, will be saved from God’s wrath. Outside the house is to be outside the door, which is to be outside the Kingdom of God. Jesus, the Capstone is the one and only Door to the Kingdom. This is what Jesus has told us.
Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed. Matthew 21: 43 – 44.
However you personally respond to the life-giving work of the Holy Spirit, in our mortal bodies, bodies dead in sin, is clearly shown by Him. Our responses simply show our faith, or lack of faith in Him. This power-word, which speaks of the bounty, benefits, beauty and blessedness of the Holy Spirit, with the Blood Works of Jesus, is tremendously unparalleled. The same overpowering Spirit, triumphing over every single evil power that would keep Jesus dead in the grave, is the same Spirit who has come to live in you. The same Spirit in you, will do the same work, so that you will also, through the Blood Works of Jesus, receive life to your mortal body through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Whatever is your response, I know that this word has come to me hard. Truth convicts and my open confession is that I have been deeply convicted. I have thrown myself on this Word, and it has broken me in every way. What about you?
You see, not one of us who has heard the truth about the Holy Spirit and you, can continue with any deceit, none whatsoever. If you have fallen and repented, as I have, then God is gracious to forgive you and reinstate you. If, on the other hand, the Word has fallen on you, because of stubborn unbelief and mistrust, then, God be with you!
For all who are repenting, even at this time, knowing that your life does not reflect the work wrought by the Holy Spirit in giving risen life to your mortal bodies, will you join me in a time of repentance and rejoicing?
