Today, we shall spend some needed time, looking at fruit, before we discuss another area of truth, in ‘FOOT’. Remember, we are continuing to learn more about Satan and his deceiving tactics. Having Facts Of Overwhelming Truth revealed to us, we move along. We are having, Fruit Of Overwhelming Truth, made bare before us. Jesus Himself has said that we can recognize people by their fruit. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Matthew 7: 16.

However, as we have already been informed, we are looking at some relevant and informative facts about the specific fruit we shall be viewing, and our responses to them.

We are now taken to the Old Testament in 1 Samuel 5: 5 where we read these most, curiously different words. That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon’s temple at Ashdod step on the threshold. The verse is like a tree, heavily laden, full with the, Fruit of Truth, which is available to all who will look, stop, pick and eat. Now here is upfront truth, so that no one will come to receive in ignorance, arrogance, defiance or forbearance.

May God the Holy Spirit, He who leads us into all truth, overwhelmingly be with each one of us who stops, looks and will receive. Amen!

It is not the kind of fruit to receive, put in a bag and leave to ripen. It’s not like green bananas for example, which must be put up to ripen. No! It will rot on you, simply because the fruit is already ripe and ready for eating, now.

Ripe fruit will rot if left alone.

It is not the kind of fruit to be peeled or stripped and have additives sprinkled on it to be tasty to the palette. It’s not like a golden apple for example, which you peel and to which you add pepper and salt for palatable eating. No! It will lose its natural taste and you will be eating fruit which you have doctored with salt, sugar, pepper and suchlike, to suit your own taste.

Natural fruit taste will disappear, if added to.

It is not the kind of fruit that needs your cooking, to be fit and suitable for eating. It’s not like the bread-nut for example that you need to cook before eating. No! To add your heat or fire to it, is to remove the natural virtue that comes with the pure fruit.

Human-made fire nullifies Spirit-given virtue.

It is not the kind of fruit that must be beaten, and banged about, to break or burst it open, in order to get at the fruit. It is not a coconut-type fruit. No! To handle this fruit in such a manner, where you have to work on it to receive its flesh, is to totally make it useless to you.

Already open and ready fruit need no workings-on from you.

What is this fruit about which we are hearing? What is this fruit of Truth which has been made so readily available to all who will look, stop, and receive? The first thing we need to realize and be fully conscious of is that nothing has been spoken about picking the fruit. It is fruit that one picks up or receives, for it has already been picked for you.

Here is a picture to ponder. Before you is a huge mango tree, laden with ripe mangoes at the top. You fall short in height, to be able to reach the lovely mango at the top of the tree. No stick you have with you is long enough to reach that mango. You keep looking up at it, as it sways gently in the breeze. Then, right before your thankful eyes, the mango drops to your level and you are able to pick it up. Now those of us who have grown up with such fruit trees and still have them in our yards, know this to be a regular occurrence.

As simple and ordinary as this is, it is what gives perfect understanding and true knowledge to what God has already given to us. We do not have to live our lives trying to bear His fruit, nor do we have to try all sorts of tactics and methods, doing things in order to bear God’s fruit. Jesus has made it clear that we bear fruit through remaining in Him. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15: 5 NKJV

We hasten on, tomorrow.
