Fourth Lord's Day Sunday

On this Lord’s Day Sunday, we come ever mindful of the banners through which we have come. These were all BAD banners where we were shown a:-

Banner Accompanying Defeat

Banner Accompanying Depletion

Banner Accompanying Dejection

Banner Accompanying Defusing

Banner Accompanying Denial

We were given stern admonition and believable hope that not one of those BAD banners need be ours if we, God’s people, would turn from our disgusting, self-tempered, self-righteous, haughty ways and obey Him in thought, word and deed. God always hears the prayers of the obedient and penitent, and intervenes as only He can, with His miracle works. We were made even more conscious and convinced that each of us can have a resurrected, sparkling, powerfully bold and shouting, New Life Banner which publishes for all to see – BAD – Believer And Doer, in the Name of our Risen and Victorious Lord.

Who is a faithful God as our Loving God? He is faithful to Truth and will not let us break covenant with Him and carry on with us as if it is business as usual. No! Our God is Holy and in His faithfulness He cannot allow you and me to live fooled lives.

Who is our God? He is our Loving Father whose Love refuses to let us, His children, run wild and do nothing to chastise or punish us. We are punished, because our Father in heaven loves us passionately and wants us to return to Him.

Who is our God? He is our Loving Master whose works are entrusted to us, to do as He desires and commands us to do. We work to our Master’s honour and glory and not to our own.

Who is our God? He is our Present Companion whose presence and provision sustain and keep us, even in the most trying times. By faith and faith alone we are able to please Him.

Whatever the banner to which our Lord has called you, ensure that work you do for Him, is to His distinct honour and glory, so that the ministry banner under which you work, is favourable in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and others.

This week, we shall be looking at Ministries which carry important banners. We pray God that our Banners will witness to BAD, in resurrected, refreshed, revived and reorganized light. We will show BAD – Believers And Doers.

We will see how the Resurrection Spirit was present to do different works in different believers, called to different ministries.
