First Lord's Day Privilege

It is the first Lord’s Day Sunday in June and we are most mindful that we have begun the month which marks half of the year. To think of where you are today, in terms of time, is a big relief for some and a total nightmare for others. However it is for you and me, we all have been given the same privilege. It’s that of seeing this first Lord’s Day Sunday, in the month of June.
Holy Father, hallowed be Your Name. We give thanks to You, for Your given Gift of the Holy Spirit, whom You have sent in Jesus’ Name. As we come with listening ears, may we not just hear, but know the response that will please You, dear heavenly Father. With the Holy Spirit’s enabling, make us into the servants our Lord Jesus desires. We must be a Holy Ghost baptized people that all may see and hear of Your wonders. Amen!
Last week, I brought before you my personal confession related to the signs which Jesus said would accompany those who believed in Him, His witnesses. I confessed that I had known the text in which these signs had been spelt out, but never bothered to pay much attention to them, or give any deep thought and mind to them. It was as if there were not pertaining to me, simply because I had been deceived into fixing my eyes and mind on one specific sign, making the others of less value. I had held one sign as a deity, making an idol of it, and had worshipped it without fail. I believe that this is a cleverly and craftily wielded tactic of the evil one, on all believers, who fall prey to giving hierarchy to the Word and Work of God.
This reminds me of some dear friends of mine, who seem to have fixed their eyes and minds on one commandment out of the Ten Commandments, making the others of less value and importance. Like me, they too have taken one of a complete set, and idolized it to the point where these friends are trying hard to convert me to be a better Christian, on just one commandment, where I am guaranteed a place in heaven. Be that as it may, I confess that I had been no different with the signs Jesus gave to accompany those who have received His baptism. This is the sign. In My Name they will speak in new tongues. I know that this is factual. Of the five signs mentioned by Jesus, many of us believers hold to Acts 2: 4. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Here are the signs again.
In My Name they will drive out demons.
In My Name they will speak in new tongues.
In My Name they will pick up snakes with their hands.
In My Name they will not be at all hurt, when they drink deadly poison.
In My Name they will place their hands on the sick and they will get well.
These can be read in Mark 16: 17 – 18.
However, do you know, have you seen that other signs, besides the sign of speaking in new tongues, were present also at Pentecost?
Our special learning throughout the week will bring us to include other signs present at Pentecost.
