Dining Promise

I begin today’s meditation, admitting to you that these most stabbing questions did not go away from me with simple, yes and no responses. These were questions relating to what we read in the Bible about Creator, Father God, actually feeding His children manna and quail in the desert for forty years.
Let me bullet these questions for quicker clarity and easier view.
If you and I believe this to be an actual, historical fact, then is this God of Israel the same God whom we worship today?
Is He the same manna-feeding God who feeds, in the wilderness times of His people?
I tell you, I was in no way able to simply answer yes or no, and move along with my, not too bad, spiritual life, unchanged, unaltered and unmoved. What about you? If you were taken by truth as I was, you also would have had to do some confessing before God. I was completely flung from my self-thoughts, and landed on my spiritual knees. I confessed these facts to our Heavenly Father, with all the earnestness given to me.
Our Father in heaven: -
If I am fed by You daily, in Your dining place, then I cannot but show one who is well-nourished, well-satisfied, strong and thriving, regardless of my barren, desert-like place.
If I am fed by You daily, in Your dining place, then I am living answered prayer, for I too pray the prayer Jesus taught us, Give us this day our daily bread.
If I am fed by You daily, in Your Dining place, it will be impossible for me to be looking, at any time, as a son or daughter whose Heavenly Father has abandoned me, or who has died and left me as an orphan to fend for myself.
If I am fed by You daily, in Your Dining place, why would I be searching, looking and trying ever so hard to eke out and find provision for myself, in a barren place?
If I am fed by You daily, in Your Dining place, I cannot but be a bold, living witness, testifying to all the world, about Your trusted promise to feed us daily, without fault or fail.
I knew that God heard me, saw me and forgave me right there and then. Not only was I forgiven, but I was placed in an honest, secure place. I rose! Yes, I was lifted to newness, freshness and the sheer pleasure of an Awesome Father who never leaves His own to starve in their wilderness places.
May I remind you of this true and solemn fact? You are also God’s own child and He will not let you go without His Spiritually, empowering food, regardless of the season and time of your life. Manna has been provided for you, take and eat. It was God’s promise to His children, while they were passing through the desert on their way to the Promise Land. It is still Father God’s promise to all His children who remain with Him and are passing through desert times.
It was there, in the desert, when they experienced lack, want, hunger and the fear of dying of starvation that the entire community turned against Moses and Aaron. They were very angry and lashed out at them saying, If only we had died by the LORD’S hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death. Exodus 16: 3b.
God heard the grumbling voices of His children and saw their ungrateful hearts. However, Father God also knew how very scared and helpless they felt, in this hostile and strange place. Here, God did not threaten to punish them. Instead, He made a promise to help His children, by providing for them daily dining. The Lord promised Moses to feed His children, the Israelites. Then the LORD said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. Exodus 16: 4a.
Here is the picture of Father, Creator, Sovereign God that must never leave your mind, as a child of God. In their hostile desert place, God comes to the aid of His grumbling, angry children and faithfully feeds them daily, both day and night, without fail.
God still makes promises to His grumbling, ungrateful, scared children, being forever faithful to them, even when they are not faithful to Him.
