For all who have come, I know that you, like me, want to know the truth about ourselves. We are being shown the sad face of our Lord and Master, as He looks at us, daily transgressing against Him and being so naïve and deceived about it.

We look only to our present Counselor, Teacher and Guide. He is none other than the Convicting and Convincing Holy Ghost, given to all Jesus’ disciples, to live His life right here on earth. As we come, we throw off all of who we see ourselves to be, all our goodness and rightness, all our obedience to traditions and laws, no matter how good and pleasing, to listen to the Spirit and learn true obedience in faith.

This week is for each one personally, thus each one of us must literally give up all of self - our deep cares, our pressing, killing burdens, empty generic talks, our self-righteousness and religious pride – to Jesus. Faith is all we need to believe and take Jesus at His word. Only when we are able to trust our Jesus implicitly, will we be able to receive and know guaranteed, promised changes in our lives.

We heard the word, transgression, used yesterday and today we continue with what has been brought to us as, Darts Of Transgression. The word transgression needs a bit of attention, so that with a more informed and common understanding, we shall proceed with one, united mind, in the way and walk of the Holy Ghost.

Our Teacher has informed us that transgressions are never committed by one’s known enemies. For example, if you know that Mr. Poison is your deadly enemy, you will avoid his places and all his friends as well. You know that all you will receive from any suchlike person is evil. You know this, so if anything is given to you, offered to you by your enemy, no matter how sweet, enticing and beautiful it may seem to the eye; regardless of how delicious to the taste, or comforting to the touch, you do as Jesus says of His sheep; you run away. Indeed, you will never believe or accept anything good from your enemy, for the enemy, comes only to steal and kill and destroy. John 10: 10a. Here is a known, shown, experienced and well-proven fact. No enemy wants good for you.

On the other hand when one is your friend, when one pledges love and loyalty, then you expect such to be the case. You are not naïve by any stretch of the imagination, for you know human nature, but you trust your friends and look for good from them. For example, if you know that Mr. and Mrs. Charity and family are your friends, you trust them. You know that all you will receive from people such as they are, is goodwill. You know this, so if anything is given to you, offered to you by your friends, no matter how uninviting and unattractive it may seem to the eye; regardless of how tasteless or even bitter to the taste, or rough to the touch, you do as the Syrophoenician woman did with Jesus. You receive whatever bitter pill Friend Jesus gives you, for you know that even His harshness is to your perfect good. But even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table. Matthew 15: 27b. All I am advocating is that with Jesus and the friends of Jesus, the Charity family and other such God-given friends, you accept from them sunshine and rain, as both are given for your good.

Having laid all this flat out before us, the word transgression is brought back before us, in the light of what was just discussed, about enemy and friend. Let’s listen again to what was told to us earlier about transgressions.

Transgressions are never committed by one’s known enemies.
