Beauty And Humility

On this Lord’s Day Sunday, I am extremely delighted, enthusiastic and definitely anxious to share with you this most beautiful picture from the Living Word. As we meet together in pairs, trios or much larger groups, it really does not matter, as long as the Holy Ghost is not just present, but that His, is a most visibly seen and felt Living Presence in us and among us.
My mind is guided immediately to a business meeting, where only money magnates are present. Both male and female, they are discussing money matters and every single one of them is rich, not one poor person can be found in that gathering. Any poor person who finds himself or herself there will be totally lost, and at sea, for nothing spoken will be relevant or make sense to such a person without riches and wealth.
The exact is true for anyone who is not born again of the Spirit. The things of the Spirit are only discerned by those of the Spirit. When we meet together in worship to the One, True, Living God, who is Spirit, under the lead, guidance and teaching of the Holy Spirit, all who have not the Spirit, will not receive the things of the Spirit. Has not Jesus Himself, through His servant, in His trusted Word, spoken this to all? The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2: 14
All we are acknowledging is that Beauty and Humility are inseparable in the Spirit and this will never be understood or observed in anyone who is not of the Spirit of God. How can we, or anyone for that matter, who sees even some things of God as foolishness? Mind you, none of us will dream of calling God’s Word, foolishness, but self-righteousness and pride totally forbid us from taking God at His Word. Why? Regardless of how we may sweeten and sugar-coat our responses, the fact remains that when we choose not to take God at His Word in any matter, big or small, we are saying that it is foolishness to us. Indeed, we are following other ways and paths which we deem as wise.
In this week, we are looking at Beauty and Humility as drawn from one single verse, Genesis 24: 18. Drink, my lord, she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
