Come with faith and faith alone. Come prepared to take God at His Word. Come with the full assurance that our Holy Spirit is telling only truth about Jesus. Come, knowing that only when you too have received transfiguration in your mortified body, will you be made a witness to our Lord’s revealing, through the Holy Spirit, accepting and giving yourself over to Him, as we accept His uplifting, in all our parts, however He wishes to do so.
We are taken back to where we left off. It is where Jesus has instructed John’s disciples to go back and tell exactly what they have seen and have heard, miracle - supernatural works being done by Jesus - before their gazing human eyes.
Now, here is the opposite response. On the high mountain of transfiguration, these three disciples of Jesus have heard and have seen miracle – supernatural works being done to Jesus – taking place before their amazed eyes. Jesus wanted them to see the works being done to Him, more than they wanted to see this heavenly scene.
Jesus specifically and deliberately made them firsthand witnesses, then instructed them to go back and not tell exactly what they saw and heard. Isn’t the Holy Spirit working His truth in you? Don’t you feel His sacredness, freedom and authority to be as the wind, speaking and instructing according to Him and not us? Can’t you see how no law is able to bind Him, any law which we earthlings may want to fling at Him? They come in the likes of; He says one thing to witnesses here and the opposite to witnesses there, as if He can’t make up His mind or something. O! But how I thank God the Holy Spirit, for every revealing of Himself to us humans. O how I praise Him for His power and authority to raise us above our carnal, earthly thinking, to heavenly, spiritual heights, pleasing to Father God.
Yes, Jesus has ordered The Three, not to tell about His Transfiguration until the Son of Man has risen from the dead. The Scripture tells us that Peter, James and John kept the matter to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant. Mark 9: 10. Their secret and closed conversation was about the meaning of “rising from the dead”. Do we know what this phrase means? Have you been given Spiritual insight on it? Is it relevant for you, me and other believers in our present time?
Allow me to offer you what has been given to me. Upfront, I confess, unashamedly and unfalteringly that faith allows me to believe, accept and offer you this revealed truth. Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. This is true of all whom Jesus has made witnesses of the hearing and seeing of transfiguration works in Him. You know, for you are a firsthand witness, but until Jesus has been raised in your human body, unless you have been quickened by the Holy Spirit and know Him living within you and can truly utter these words, then be silent.
In other words, you cannot testify to the Risen, ascended Jesus, unless He is risen and ascended in you. That is, unless you know transfiguration through the same, God the Holy Spirit. Even if you say and tell what you have witnessed, it will just be weak, powerless, empty, nice words, which do no spiritual good. Your telling will be without Spirit configuration, Spirit confirmation and Spirit celebration.
Is this not exactly what transpired on that first Pentecost Day? This is what happened to the disciples at Pentecost. Is this not what you know, must know and show, if you too have known a personal transfiguration? How is this done? I hear you thinking and asking. How am I transfigured in the likeness of Jesus?
Tomorrow we shall be led slowly through, with sure, living, visible proof and wisdom.
