Reconciliation And Pardon

We conclude this fresh, ever new, openly honest time, focusing mostly on these words of the hymn.

His erring child, He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Much time was spent on showing and proving that Jesus died for all sinners. We saw this clearly, in flesh and bones seeing, as Holy Spirit enabled us to take another gaze at Mt. Calvary. Our eyes were fastened to the place where Jesus, Saviour of the world, and two sinners of the world, were dying on crosses of sin. Faith allows us to believe that Jesus died for the entire world population of right and left dwellers. Right and left dwellers are all of us sinners who either are living on the right of Jesus, or on His left. Those who are living on His right, refer to all who no longer live according to the flesh, living unto himself or herself, but who live for Jesus, who died for them and rose again. On Jesus’ right then, are believers who receive Him and His life and do not perish because of stubborn unbelief.

On the other hand, those who are living on Jesus’ left, refer to all who defiantly live according to the flesh, living unto himself or herself, and who refuse to live for Jesus, who died for them and rose again. On Jesus’ left then, are unbelievers who refuse Him and His offered life, and they perish, because of stubborn unbelief. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3: 16

Resurrection facts continue in these words, His erring child, He reconciled, and pardoned from his sin. One and only one erring child accepted and knew, in flesh and bones knowing, the grace of the efficacy of the Blood of Jesus, to give reconciliation and pardon from all sins. Two sinners were on crosses facing death, on either side of the Saviour, but only one received this personal resurrection word from the Saviour. Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise. Luke 23: 43b.

Taking the two lines of the hymn we are given to behold, handle and witness, in truth and in fact, our Victorious, Risen Lord and King, Jesus.

His erring child He reconciled. The one who was reconciled to the Father, by the totally complete, efficient and Precious Blood of Jesus, His death and resurrection, was a child of the Father. He was an estranged child, an erring child, a sinner child of Father God. He was a child with a one-way ticket, straight to everlasting hell, for there was no way that he could reconcile himself back to God. He was on his perfect way to hell, eternal damnation, as death, the vehicle to ensure this everlasting death, already had its doors wide open to swallow him. But victory! Though death had to be faced, Jesus turned it all around and made death the vehicle to take the reconciled child to everlasting life with Him, in Paradise. Death had no more power or dominion over the reconciled sinner, because of Jesus’ cruel death, and conquering resurrection. If you are the sinner on the right, then rejoice in death, you have been reconciled by the Love of God, in the Saving, Reconciling works of Jesus.

His erring child He pardoned from his sin. The sinner child who was reconciled, was fully pardoned from all sin. In other words, he entered Paradise as his Saviour, sinless. When he was pardoned, his was washed clean by the Blood of Jesus, so clean that there was not one stain or spot to be seen, or detected even. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1: 7b. How effective is this cleansing Blood of Jesus? It is sufficient enough to present the repentant sinner before God, faultless, without blemish. Now unto Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Jude 1: 24. If you are the sinner on the right, then rejoice in death. You have been pardoned by the Love of God, in the saving, pardoning works of Jesus.

The Love of God is, Simply Stupendous!
